These terms & conditions refer to the contractual relationship between Central London School of Languages Ltd. (thereafter, CLSL) and the persons who book language classes with CLSL (thereafter “client” or “student”). “Force Majeure” shall mean any event outside the control of CLSL, which prevents the prompt performance of its obligations, including war and civil strife, traffic or weather conditions etc. - Contract Law
The contract incorporating these terms & conditions are subject to English law and all matters arising out of it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales. - Classes / Programme / Location / Information
All our classes, programmes and levels are shown on our website www.centrallondonlanguages.com. The site also informs about upcoming classes, discounts, price changes etc. All courses are conducted in our location in 73 Great Eastern Street, EC2A 3HR, unless clients are otherwise instructed. In order not to postpone or cancel a course, CLSL reserves the right to conduct it at another location of choice. - Timetables / Holidays / Changes
At the beginning of each course, the students will receive a timetable stating all the dates of the courses. Lessons falling on a bank holiday will be postponed or cancelled. They can either be placed at the end of the course or, should the majority of the students prefer and agree, different dates can be arranged. Should it be the case that lessons could not be postponed, the students will be reimbursed for the cancelled lessons. - Bookings / Fees
All courses can be booked either through our website or by enrolling at our postal address directly. Students may also book one lesson in advance as a trial class, in order to personally assess all the benefits before signing up for a course. When booking through our website, the course fee has to be paid within 7 week days, either via bank transfer (BACS), Paypal or cash. In case the period between booking and begin of the course is less than 7 working days, all courses fees have to be paid at the latest 1 working day before course begin. All courses have to be paid in GBP. - Changes & Refunds
Should the student wish to change the booking, either the language or the level, CLSL must be informed immediately. Subject to offers and availability, CLSL will refer the student to a different course. A refund of the course fee after booking depends on the starting date:
More than 14 days before the course begins the student can be transferred to any other course (language and level) of our programme. In case of cancellation, full refund of the course fee will apply.
Less than 14 days before course begin the student can be transferred to any other course (language and level) of our programme or to changing the applicant. In case of cancellation, 15% administration fee applies.
After the first lesson the student can transfer the booking to any other course (language and level) of our programme.
Later refunds cannot be offered. - Alterations by CLSL
CLSL will do its utmost to provide the arrangements that have been agreed upon, but it must reserve itself the right to modify or cancel any course if unforeseen circumstances arise. If “force majeure” occurs while a course is in progress, the company will try to make reasonable alternative arrangements. Should it be the case that there are not enough students to start a course, CLSL reserves the right to postpone or cancel the course up to 48 hours prior to the course begin. - Liability of CLSL
CLSL accepts responsibility for ensuring that all parts of the courses are supplied as described and that all services shall reach reasonable standards. However, CLSL shall not be liable for the failure or improper performance of these services where such failure or improper performance is attributable to:
a) The fault of the client.
b) The unforeseeable or unavoidable actions of an unconnected third party.
c) Unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond the control of CLSL, including “force majeure”. - Disclaimer / Descriptions
